Robla Strings Program

The Robla Strings Program is a program through the California State University Sacramento (CSUS) Strings Program that provides carefully structured group lessons in violin and cello for Robla School District students in the fourth grade and up. The lessons are taught by the dedicated and talented CSUS School of Music undergraduate and graduate teachers and supervised by experienced teachers. Classes begin in September and are offered of two 10 week sessions (Fall & Spring).

The Robla School District provides transportation to lessons at Sacramento State University on Monday and Wednesday afternoons as well as an additional class offered at one of Robla's five school campuses. We have also purchased instruments we loan to students to use while in the program.

Strings 2020-21

Do you have a child in 3rd through 6th grade that wants to learn to play a string instrument? The Robla Strings Project is now accepting applications for the upcoming Fall session.

Strings Program Dates - Spring 2021
 
The Strings program currently offers classes at different levels: beginners, intermediate and orchestra.  
 
Beginner Students in Grades 3-6 interested in learning a String Instrument 
 
This Spring Lessons are from home.  Your child will be assigned a private teacher from among the Sacramento State Teacher Trainees
 
The cost is $110.00 for a 6 week session. 
Winter 2019 Concert
 
On Monday December 9, 2019 the annual Strings Winter Concert was held at CSUS Capistrano Concert Hall.  The concert featured students from throughout the district performing on their violins and cellos.

Sac. State String Project

Two options are available for a three week/six class “preparation for string players” class. This class is for children in 3rd through 7th grade who haven’t played a string instrument yet. Ms. Bossuat-Gallic and Mr. Stanley will take them through their first violin and cello steps. No instrument is needed. Once graduated from this class, the children are invited to join the String Project for weekly one-on-one lessons on a real violin or cello!

This class is $110. Complete the three week session and have your Spring Tuition paid for through a partnership with Robla Education Foundation and Robla School District

Proyecto de instrumento de cuerda de la universidad estatal de california.

Hay dos opciones disponibles para una clase de “preparación para tocar un instrumento de cuerdas” de tres semanas / seis clases. Esta clase es para niños de tercero a séptimo grado que aún no han tocado un instrumento de cuerda. La Sra. Bossuat-Gallic y el Sr. Stanley los guiarán a través de sus primeros pasos de violín y violonchelo. No se necesita ningún instrumento. Una vez graduados de esta clase, se invita a los niños a unirse al Proyecto de Cuerda para recibir lecciones individuales semanales de violín o violonchelo

Esta clase cuesta $ 110. Complete la sesión de tres semanas y pague su matrícula de primavera a través de una asociación con Robla Education Foundation y el Distrito Escolar  Robla.
