Robla Strings Program

The Robla Strings Program is a program through the California State University Sacramento (CSUS) Strings Program that provides carefully structured group lessons in violin and cello for Robla School District students in the fourth grade and up. The lessons are taught by the dedicated and talented CSUS School of Music undergraduate and graduate teachers and supervised by experienced teachers. Classes begin in September and are offered of two 10 week sessions (Fall & Spring).

The Robla School District provides transportation to lessons at Sacramento State University on Monday and Wednesday afternoons as well as an additional class offered at one of Robla's five school campuses. We have also purchased instruments we loan to students to use while in the program.

Strings 2019-2020

Do you have a child in 4th through 6th grade that wants to learn to play a string instrument? The Robla Strings Project is now accepting applications for the upcoming Fall session.

Strings Program Dates - Fall 2019
The Strings program currently offers classes at different levels: beginners, intermediate and orchestra.  
Intermediate and Orchestra student classes are held on Monday and Wednesday afternoons at CSUS Capistrano Hall on the 2nd floor from 4:45 PM - 5:35 PM during the Fall session.  Parents are welcome and encouraged to observe class.  
Friday afternoon classes are held for all students at Bell Avenue Elementary.
The Fall 2019 session concludes with a concert on December 9, 2019 at 7 PM at CSUS Capistrano Concert Hall.

Cost: Reduced Enrollment Fee with 1 year commitment $110.00 ($55 per semester)

(Additional enrollment fees covered with the support of the Robla School District & Robla Education Foundation)

(Two 10 week sessions)

(1st Session begins on September 11)

Winter 2019 Concert
On Monday December 9, 2019 the annual Strings Winter Concert was held at CSUS Capistrano Concert Hall.  The concert featured students from throughout the district performing on their violins and cellos.
