in the Robla School District we have a vision for the high standard of Education possible for our students it's a simple concise statement but is one that conveys super meaning in every word every student reaches their potential in a growth minded environment rich and challenging practices and reflective learning for all less than close looks owie every student this means all students we want no excuses because of child may be poor or may not yet be proficient in English may have other challenges in their life no excuses reaches their potential not every student wants to become a doctor or lawyer but they do need to have per can see with basic skills and know-how to create and solve problems so that they can achieve their goals whatever they may be in a growth-minded environment Stanford University just Carol dweck assert that there is great power in the belief that you can succeed the Robles School District couldn't agree more and that's why we're focused on creating a school culture all adults and all children believe that they can make significant progress in their learning rich and challenging practices we should always be challenging students to be independent thinkers problem solvers effective communicators are teaching should challenge students with complex tasks and projects reflective learning students aren't the only ones who learn cool we want teachers to reflect on the effectiveness of their practices and strive to learn more about how to reach their students in the most effective manner we also want to teach students to be active about their learning so that they can learn multiple approaches to solving a task and so they are open to the thinking of others for all everyone who functions in r from Administration and staff to teachers and students and even parents benefit from this culture of learning as with any Vision it's meaningless if it doesn't play into action that's why our district has created a series of initiatives to bring this Vision into reality English language arts English language development instruction on the real teacher professional growth project professional learning support teachers professional learning communities high impact teaching practices sword teaching instructional technology positive behavior intervention and support PBIS social-emotional learning enrichment resilience Freedom School initiatives focusing on student health parent involvement but we can't do it alone it's not only about an issue tips or what happens in classroom or at home it's about creating a school climate where students can become the best individuals possible and can achieve at the highest level in the Robles School we're not just about teaching kids the facts we're about empowering them to become lifelong learners
