Expanded Learning Program Plans (ELOP/ASES)

The Robla Expanded Learning Program (ASES/ELOP) provides safe, educationally enriching alternatives for children and youth during non-school hours.  These programs are created through partnerships between schools and local community resources to provide literacy, academic, and enrichment opportunities, as well as safe, constructive alternatives, for students in Kindergarten through sixth grade (TK-6).

The Robla School District works closely with four organizations to plan and implement a high-quality Expanded Learning program for our students.

Expanded Learning Opportunities (ELO-P)
"Expanded learning" means before-school, after-school, summer, or intersession learning programs that focus on developing the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of pupils through hands-on, engaging learning experiences. It is the intent of the Legislature that expanded learning programs are pupil-centered, results-driven, include community partners, and complement, but do not replicate, learning activities in the regular school day and school year.
ELOP Program Plan was revised in February 2026

After School Education and Safety (ASES)
The purpose of the After-School Education and Safety Program (ASES) is to create incentives to establish locally driven Expanded Learning programs, including after-school programs that partner with public schools and communities to provide academic and literacy support and safe, constructive alternatives for youth. The ASES Program involves collaboration among parents, youth, and representatives from schools and community-based organizations.
