COVID-19 Vaccine Update: Let's Protect Robla Together!

Together, the Robla community can further prevent the spread of COVID-19 through vaccinating our students. The COVID-19 vaccine is another important action to take with hand washing, mask-wearing, and physical distancing to prevent COVID-19 in our community. Vaccinations will protect students and their families from COVID-19. The COVID-19 vaccine for 5-11 year olds is safe and effective, and will prevent complications from COVID-19 that require children to be hospitalized or experience ongoing symptoms. It will be easy and convenient to get a free vaccine in the Robla community. Get vaccinated to benefit our community.  Keep our teachers, staff, and other students safe.

The federal government has authorized the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11. With this in mind, we are providing you with some important details for your consideration.

Important Information:
  • The vaccine is the best protection against COVID-19.
  • Parents, know your options and have a plan for your family.
  • The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11 is a child-sized dose.
  • Will still be a two-dose series.
  • Testing has shown that the vaccines are safe and very effective.
  • Vaccinated children will be able to participate in more activities and attend more events.

When will the vaccine be available?
Sacramento County is getting ready to roll out the COVID vaccine November 4th. Children aged 5 to 11 will be able to get a COVID-19 vaccine at their pediatrician's office, pharmacies and other local vaccine clinics. You can find appointments here: https://myturn.ca.gov/  The Robla School District is also working with local agencies to provide a vaccine clinic in our community, and more details will be provided once the date and location are finalized.
