Special Services

A Message from the Director of Special Services

Dear Robla Families and Community,

Welcome to the Special Services Department! Our commitment is simple: to ensure every student -regardless of their level of needs - receives the high-quality, individualized support they deserve in a safe and growth-minded environment.

Through research-based academic instruction, engaging social-emotional learning, and dedicated staff, we aim to meet the unique needs of every learner.

We view families as equal partners in this journey. Whether attending IEP meetings in person or virtually, we look forward to collaborating closely with you. Please never hesitate to reach out to your child's case manager or my office directly if you ever need assistance.

Warmly,

Kelly Briggs

Director of Special Services

Sacramento County SELPA is dedicated to the belief that all students can learn and that students with disabilities must be guaranteed equal opportunity to become contributing members of society. Annually, SELPA works with LEAs, the Community Advisory Committee (CAC), and community partners to develop a Local Plan.

Procedural Safeguards and Parent Rights

Parents and guardians of students with disabilities have important rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and California special education law. These rights, known as procedural safeguards, help ensure families are informed, involved, and empowered throughout the special education process.
