LEGO in Education

LEGO Adam VeVeaAs an adult fan of LEGO (AFOL), I love how much LEGO is incorporated into our schools; from preschool through sixth grade, you'll find Lego bricks in almost every classroom.
LEGO has so many ways that it can be incorporated into lesson plans and activities; from teaching basic hand-eye coordination and fractions, to robotics and the whole Lego Education line.  To put it simply, LEGO has come a long way from even when I was a child.
Classroom Presentations
Although my free-time is limited due to work responsibilities, I do offer a LEGO classroom presentation, geared towards Preschool - second grade age classes.  The presentation (45-60 min) consists of the following activities:
  • Facts about LEGO
  • LEGO Minifig Coloring
  • Small group build
  • LEGO Sets & Minifig Presentation
