Dear Main Avenue Elementary School Families,
Welcome to Main Avenue Elementary School, home of the Panthers!
At Main Avenue School the staff works closely together to create an environment where children feel valued and safe. Our mission is to promote confidence and responsibility in our students in order for them to achieve at their highest potential. Diversity is an important aspect of the Main Avenue student population. We recognize that a student’s language, race, and culture all impact the learning environment, and our staff is eager to provide an atmosphere in which a child’s social, emotional, and intellectual needs all receive attention as well.
Main Avenue School is a high energy school with committed teachers, assistants, and support staff who believe in educating the whole child and have high expectations for all students. Teacher’s focus on teaching a balanced core curriculum, using essential components to teach lessons based on the Common Core State Standards. Our emphasis is on problem solving, critical thinking, active engagement, and communication skills.
Your child will receive the best education when you and our dedicated Main Avenue teachers and staff work together as a team. It is this enthusiasm and support that inspires children to be the best that they can be. I encourage you to become involved in our school through volunteerism. We welcome you to volunteer in the classroom and assist on field trips. Parents also help with our Harvest Festival, and movie nights, and assist us with many other activities and events as well.
I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2013-2014 school year! The Main Avenue staff and I look forward to an exciting and productive year! Go Panthers!!

Main Avenue Construction Project is Happening Now!
We have set up a web page that will be updated with the progress.
Main Avenue School works to provide
needed school supplies to our students. This year, we are not asking for as many supplies. However, each studetn at Main Avenue School is expected to bring certain items to school to start the school year. Additional supplies will be needed at other times in the year. Your child's teacher will spend home a request when more supplies are needed.
Check each teacher's webpage for their individual classroom requests.
